Drew MacPherson is a true freshman defensive back for Iowa from Glenview, Illinois, where he attended Loyola Academy. Standing 6'1" and weighing 204 pounds, MacPherson earned All-State recognition and the Chicago Catholic League's top individual award. He was named team captain as a senior after earning three letters in football as both a defensive back and running back. In his final high school season, he recorded 1,184 rushing yards, 700 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns while helping Loyola to a state championship.
