Brady Hummel is a safety from Jamestown, North Dakota, who attended Spanish Springs High School in Nevada. Playing for his father, Robert Hummel, he earned three-star ratings from recruiting services. As a senior, Hummel recorded 55 tackles with five for loss and five interceptions on defense, while catching 84 passes for 1,063 yards and 16 touchdowns. He added two rushing touchdowns and earned 5A Northern League MVP honors and First Team All-Region selections at both wide receiver and defensive back. In the state championship game, he had 187 yards on nine receptions and two scores in Spanish Springs' 13-0 title-winning season. Hummel now joins Iowa State as a true freshman.
