Braden Simonsen is a 6'3", 290-pound offensive lineman from Ankeny, Iowa, wearing jersey number 62 for the Iowa State Cyclones. At Ankeny High School, he earned 2021 class 5A First Team All-State recognition after recording 53.5 tackles, 26 solo tackles, eight sacks, and 21 tackles for loss. He posted 12 sacks across his high school career and helped Ankeny to an 11-3 record and state runner-up finish his senior year. Redshirted in 2022, Simonsen has been on Iowa State's roster since 2023. Currently a redshirt senior, he is a returning squad member majoring in aerospace engineering and has earned multiple Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll selections.
