Cam McHaney is a true freshman defensive lineman for the Indiana Hoosiers from Indianapolis, IN. A four-star prospect according to recruiting services, McHaney was ranked No. 267 nationally by national outlets and No. 20 among defensive linemen. He began his prep career at Indianapolis Lutheran High School, helping the program to back-to-barn IHSAA Class A state titles as a freshman and sophomore before earning All-State honors in his second year. McHaney transferred to IMG Academy, where he led the Sharks to consecutive Sunshine State Independent Association state championships. As a senior, he recorded 32 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. McHaney also competed in track and field, ranking No. 1 among Indiana sophomores in the discus at 172-3.
