Zach Haber is a long snapper from Durango, Colorado, who majors in communication. At Durango High School, he played running back and long snapped, rushing for 1,358 yards on 151 carries with 19 touchdowns as a junior in 2021, then 979 yards on 137 carries with 18 touchdowns as a senior in 2022 when the team went 11-2 with a perfect 5-0 conference record. He also competed in basketball and track. Haber played one season at Butler Community College in 2024, appearing in eight games with nine tackles and one fumble recovery as a long snapper. He transferred to Illinois with two years of eligibility remaining.
