Tywan Cox is a left cornerback for the Illinois Fighting Illini. The Miami, Florida native attended Miami Northwestern, where he was a three-star recruit ranked #49 by Rivals, #66 by recruiting services, #79 by national outlets, and #141 by recruiting services. He received offers from Miami, Nebraska, Pitt, SMU, Syracuse, and Vanderbilt. Cox redshirted during the 2025 season without appearing in a game.
