Jakwon Morris is a left cornerback from Tupelo, Mississippi who transferred to Illinois from Northwest Mississippi Community College. At the junior college level, he was recognized as a four-star recruit and ranked among the nation's top junior college prospects by multiple services. During his 2025 season at Northwest Mississippi, Morris appeared in 11 games and recorded 35 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and seven pass breakups. He previously played in 10 games as a freshman in 2024, accumulating four tackles, three pass breakups, and one interception while helping the team reach the NJCAA Division I Football Playoffs. Morris stands 6'0" and weighs 175 pounds.
