King Liggins is a defensive lineman for the Illinois Fighting Illini. The 6'3", 295-pound true freshman from Crete, Illinois, attended Brother Rice High School, where he earned three-star recruit status from recruiting services. At Brother Rice under head coach Casey Quedenfeld, Liggins was a three-year letterwinner who recorded 120 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks. He earned two-time All-Chicago Catholic League Blue honors and helped lead the Crusaders to a 12-1 record and an IHSA Class 7A Championship Game appearance. Liggins also lettered in wrestling and was a two-time Catholic League wrestling champion. He majors in journalism.
