Javari Barnett is a true freshman running back for the Illinois Fighting Illini from Tampa, FL. A three-star recruit by recruiting services, he ranked #37 among position players at national outlets, #38 at Rivals, and #41 at national outlets, with state rankings of #73 (recruiting services) and #91 (national outlets). Barnett transferred to Tampa Bay Tech after his sophomore year, where he played under head coach Jayson Roberts.
