Thompson Bennett is a true freshman defensive back for Houston, standing 6'1" and weighing 190 pounds. The Austin native played for Westlake High School, where he earned 2025 All-District 26-6A First Team honors at safety and 2024 All-State Second Team recognition. Over his high school career, Bennett accumulated 5 interceptions and 17 pass breakups. As a junior, he recorded 87 tackles and nine pass breakups in a single season. He helped lead Westlake to the 2024 UIL 6A Division I Championship game appearance and was a teammate of fellow Cougar Jack Newhouse. From Westlake HS · Austin, TX.
