Paris Melvin Jr. is a true freshman at Houston who prepped at Cy-Springs High School in Cypress, Texas. A four-star prospect ranked 260 nationally, he rushed for 1,927 yards and 28 touchdowns over 36 career high school games while adding 61 receptions for 1,002 yards and 14 receiving touchdowns. As a junior in 2024, he recorded 1,091 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. Melvin earned 2025 All-District 16-6A honors as Utility Player of the Year and unanimous first-team selections at wide receiver and return specialist. The 5'11", 185-pound athlete wears No. 14 and plays cornerback for the Cougars.
