Amare Thomas is a wide receiver from Birmingham, Alabama who transferred to Houston after two seasons at UAB. At the collegiate level, he appeared in 24 games for the Blazers from 2023 to 2024, recording 115 receptions for 1,107 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. In his junior year with the Cougars in 2025, Thomas posted 67 receptions for 966 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, both team highs since 2022. His 966 yards and 12 scores ranked second in the Big 12, earning him First Team All-Big 12 honors and recognition as Phil Steele Magazine All-America Honorable Mention.
