Kentrell Webb is a safety for the Houston Cougars who transferred from Tulane. A native of Katy, Texas, Webb prepped at Paetow HS, where he earned 2021 Class 5A Texas Sports Writers Association First Team All-State honors and was named Defensive MVP in the Class 5A-Division I state final with 9 tackles and 1 interception. He spent two seasons at Tulane (2022-23) before joining Houston. In 2025, his junior year, Webb started all 13 games at free safety and recorded 71 tackles (third on team), 3 tackles for loss, 4 pass deflections, and 1 interception. He earned Athlon Sports All-Big 12 Fourth Team and Academic All-Big 12 honors while avoiding penalties despite being targeted 39 times.
