Johnsley Barbas is a safety from Atlanta, Georgia who attended Centennial High School. A three-star prospect ranked No. 71 nationally at the position by recruiting services, he joined Houston as a mid-year enrollee in January 2023. In his redshirt freshman season (2024), Barbas appeared in all 12 games and recorded five tackles with a 80.5 tackling grade that ranked second on the team. As a sophomore in 2025, he played in all 13 games and posted nine total tackles with six solo stops. Barbas currently serves on special teams and remains on the roster as a redshirt junior for 2026.
