JayShon Ridgle is a running back for the Houston Cougars who joined the program as a three-star recruit from Athens High School in Athens, Alabama. During his freshman year in 2024, Ridgle appeared in 11 games across 89 snaps, primarily contributing on special teams with 75 snaps. He caught two passes for 10 yards and rushed once for three yards, including a season-long six-yard reception against Kansas on October 19. As a sophomore in 2025, Ridgle played in 8 games and recorded four special teams tackles while appearing on one offensive snap. He currently returns as a junior for the Cougars.
