Jamaal Shaw is a 6'1", 200-pound defensive back from Orange, Texas, who joined Houston as a mid-year enrollee in January 2023. A three-star prospect ranked No. 110 nationally at safety by recruiting services, Shaw redshirted his freshman year while appearing in three games. As a redshirt freshman in 2024, he played in the final five games and recorded his first career tackle against Kansas State on November 2. In 2025, Shaw saw action in 10 games, all on special teams, accumulating 97 snaps and three tackles across three contests.
