Carmello Brooks is a defensive lineman for the Houston Cougars standing 6'3" and weighing 275 pounds. The Katy, Texas native prepped at Paetow High School, where he earned recruiting services three-star prospect status and ranked as the No. 100 defensive lineman nationally. As a senior, Brooks recorded 68.0 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, and 15 quarterback hits while earning District 19-6A Defensive MVP honors and 2024 Houston Chronicle All-Greater Houston First Team Defense recognition. He enrolled at Houston in January and redshirted during the 2025 season.
