Tawfiq Thomas is a 6'4", 305-pound nose tackle from Tampa, FL, who transferred to Georgia Tech from Colorado. A three-star recruit in the 2022 class, Thomas earned all-state honors and recorded 200 career tackles in high school. As a senior, he posted 58 tackles (37 solo), 16 tackles for loss, and eight sacks over 10 games. During his junior year, he made 53 tackles (38 solo) with three sacks while helping Gaither reach the Florida 6A state playoffs with an 11-1 record. Thomas is a history, technology and society major at Georgia Tech.
