Jon Mitchell is a left cornerback for Georgia Tech, standing 5'11" and weighing 190 pounds. A transfer from Penn State, Mitchell redshirted after appearing in four regular-season games as a true freshman in 2024, though he played in all three of Penn State's College Football Playoff contests and recorded five tackles. In his first season at Georgia Tech in 2025, he appeared in seven games as a reserve defensive back and on special teams, finishing with nine tackles (six solo, three assists). He recorded two tackles each against Colorado, Temple, and Syracuse, and appeared in the Pop-Tarts Bowl versus No. 12 BYU. Mitchell hails from Jacksonville, Florida and was a four-star recruit in the 2024 class.
