Tylin Drakeford is a true freshman defensive back for Georgia Southern, standing 5'10" and weighing 175 pounds. The Camden, South Carolina native enrolled early in January 2025 after a decorated high school career at Camden High School under Coach Brian Rimpf. As a senior, Drakeford recorded 1,425 all-purpose yards with 1,014 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, adding 45 tackles, a blocked kick and three interceptions on defense. He earned 2024 Pee Dee Sports Defensive Back of the Year honors and was selected to the SCFCA 4A all-state team. Drakeford is pursuing a major in Criminal Justice.
