TJ Hartley III is a kicker for Georgia Southern. A native of Fayetteville, Georgia, he attended Whitewater High School, where he made 19 of 20 field goal attempts during his senior season with a long of 42 yards. He also converted 81 of 86 PATs in his prep career and averaged 54.2 yards on 126 kickoff attempts with 32 touchbacks. Hartley was named Region 4-4A Special Teams Player of the Year in 2022 and earned first-team all-state honors. He began his college career at Austin Peay as a redshirt in 2023-24 before entering the transfer portal in April 2024. After enrolling at Georgia Southern in summer 2024, he made his collegiate debut at James Madison in 2025-26, recording two kickoffs. A finance major, Hartley was selected to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll.
