JaMari Whitehead is an outside linebacker for Georgia Southern from Jacksonville, Florida, where he attended William M. Raines High School. A three-star recruit in the 2023 class, Whitehead redshirted in 2023-24 after appearing in five games with three tackles. In 2024-25, he played in 12 games and recorded one tackle while seeing action on 143 plays, primarily on special teams. Whitehead appeared in two games during the 2025-26 season, logging eight special teams snaps. He has maintained academic honors, making the Dean's List and Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List.
