Diego Aviles is an inside linebacker for Georgia Southern, standing 6'1" and weighing 230 pounds. A native of Manassas, Virginia, he attended Osbourn High School, where he earned all-region and all-district honors as a senior with 95 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks. Aviles began his college career at Wingate, redshirting in 2022-23 before appearing in 11 games in 2024-25 and recording 34 tackles with 3.0 tackles for loss, one pass breakup, and four quarterback hurries. In 2025-26, he played in 10 games with three starts, totaling 40 tackles including 3.5 tackles for loss, a sack, three pass breakups, and a forced fumble. He transferred to Georgia Southern in January and made the Honor Roll in the spring.
