Sylas Austin is a 6'3", 230-pound tight end for the Fresno State Bulldogs. A native of Atwater, California, Austin attended Atwater High School, where he played football, basketball, and track. He earned two-time first team all-league honors in football as a wide receiver and tight end, posting 1,000 receiving yards in his senior season and setting a school record with 5 receiving touchdowns in a single game. He also was named first team all-league in basketball. Austin chose Fresno State to pursue his college career due to his family's connection to the program and university. He is the son of Tony and Nicole Austin; his mother is a Fresno State graduate.
