Jake Appleget is a 6'4", 245-pound tight end from Lincoln, Nebraska who spent two seasons at Nebraska (2022-2023) before transferring to Northern Illinois for 2024-2025. At Nebraska, he played in six games as a redshirt freshman in 2023 and redshirted in 2022, earning Academic All-Big Ten recognition. With NIU, Appleget appeared in eight games with six starts in 2024, recording four catches for 45 yards, and in 2025 started all nine games with seven catches for 57 yards and a touchdown, including a season-high 17 yards against Miami (OH). He was a three-star recruit in the 2022 class and is an Academic All-MAC selection. Appleget now competes for Fresno State.
