Merhauti Xepera is a 6'3", 278-pound defensive lineman for Fresno State from Maricopa, Arizona. A three-star recruit from Higley High School, Xepera transitioned from tight end to defensive end after his freshman year in 2022. He appeared in 11 games as a redshirt freshman in 2023, recording seven tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. In 2024, he made 11 appearances primarily on special teams. During the 2025 season, Xepera started five of 13 games, totaling 28 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble, and three pass breakups. He posted a career-high seven tackles against San Diego State on October 25.
