LJ McCray is a 6'6", 270-pound defensive end from Daytona, Florida, who played at Mainland High School. A five-star recruit ranked 20th nationally in the 2024 class, McCray made his collegiate debut against Miami in 2024. That season, he appeared in all 13 games, recording 13 total tackles (3 solo), 5 quarterback hurries, 1.0 tackle-for-loss, and 0.5 sacks. In 2025, McCray logged one game appearance against USF with one QB hurry before missing the remainder of the season due to injury. He is a two-time SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll selection.
