Kofi Asare, a 6'5" defensive end from Worcester, MA, transferred to Florida from Massachusetts at the start of the spring semester in 2025. He made his Gators debut against LIU on August 30. In his first season at Florida, Asare recorded 19 tackles (eight solo), 2.5 tackles for loss totaling nine yards, and 1.0 sack for seven yards across 12 games. Prior to his transfer, he appeared in all 12 games with four starts at UMass in 2024, finishing with 30 tackles (11 solo) and ranking second on the team with 5.5 tackles for loss and three sacks.
