Joseph Mbatchou is a nose tackle from Loganville, Georgia, who attended Grayson High School. A consensus four-star recruit in the Class of 2025, he was ranked No. 225 overall by recruiting services and selected by Florida over Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, and USC. In his freshman season, Mbatchou appeared in 9 games and made his collegiate debut against LIU with 12 defensive snaps. He recorded 11 total tackles through the season, including one tackle for loss, and appeared in games against No. 3 LSU, No. 4 Miami, Mississippi State, No. 5 Georgia, Kentucky, No. 6 Ole Miss, No. 20 Tennessee, and Florida State. Mbatchou earned SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll recognition in 2026 and returns as a sophomore.
