CJ Hester is a cornerback from Titusville, Florida, who attended Cocoa High School. A 4-star recruit ranked No. 289 nationally and No. 21 at his position by national outlets, Hester compiled 186 tackles, 112 solo, across 54 career games, adding seven interceptions, 21 pass breakups, three forced fumbles and a tackle for loss. He also saw time on offense and special teams, recording 313 all-purpose yards. Hester led Cocoa to state titles in 2022, 2023, and 2024, with the team posting an 11-3 record in 2022, 11-3 in 2023, and 14-1 in 2024. A multi-sport athlete who competed in track and field, he selected Florida over multiple Power Four programs. Hester, who stands 6-0 and weighs 193 pounds, is a true freshman for the Gators.
