Aaron Philo is a quarterback from Bogart, Georgia, who attended Prince Avenue Christian before playing at Georgia Tech. Standing 6'1" and weighing 208 pounds, Philo holds Georgia high school's all-time passing yards record with 13,922 and threw 159 career touchdown passes. During his 2024 redshirt season at Tech, he appeared in five games and the Birmingham Bowl, completing 38 of 74 passes for 565 yards with one touchdown and 12 rushing attempts for 76 yards and a score. In 2025, Philo played in three games, including a start against Gardner-Webb on September 6, where he completed 21 of 28 passes for 373 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He earned ACC Rookie of the Week for that performance. Philo transferred to Florida as a redshirt sophomore.
