Xavier Chaplin is a 6'8", 346-pound left tackle from Beaufort, South Carolina, who attended Whale Branch Early College High School. He began his college career at Virginia Tech in 2022, appearing in one game as a true freshman before appearing in 26 games with 25 starts across three seasons. Chaplin transferred to Auburn, where he started all 13 games in 2023 and allowed just five sacks on 813 snaps, earning third-team All-American honors. He received honorable mention All-ACC recognition in 2024 after starting 12 games at tackle and was named ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week versus Boston College. In 2025, he started all 12 games at left tackle for Auburn, recording five games with grades of 90 or higher, including a season-high 97 versus Missouri. Chaplin has started 37 consecutive games over the past three seasons and joins Florida State as a transfer.
