Gavin Markey is a tight end for the Florida State Seminoles. The 6'1", 234-pound redshirt freshman from Athens, Georgia, attended Jefferson High School, where he was a three-star quarterback prospect ranked No. 126 nationally by recruiting services. As a senior, Markey passed for 1,547 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for 1,660 yards and 24 touchdowns, leading Jefferson to an 11-4 record and the GHSA 3A state championship game. During his junior year, he posted 1,458 passing yards and 24 passing touchdowns along with five rushing touchdowns. Markey made his collegiate debut in 2025 against East Texas A&M and spent the redshirt season training with the scout team.
