Gavin Markey is a tight end for the Florida State Seminoles. The 6'1", 234-pound redshirt freshman from Athens, Georgia, attended Jefferson High School, where he was a three-star quarterback prospect ranked No. 126 nationally by recruiting services. As a senior, Markey passed for 1,547 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for 1,660 yards and 24 touchdowns, leading Jefferson to an 11-4 record and the GHSA 3A state championship game. During his junior year, he posted 1,458 passing yards and 24 passing touchdowns along with five rushing touchdowns.
