Kevin Schaeffer is a tight end for Florida International who transferred from Rhode Island. The 6'5", 245-pound Hewitt, New Jersey native began his college career at Rutgers, earning Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2021 before moving to URI. At Rhode Island, Schaeffer made his debut at Stony Brook in 2022. During 2023, he appeared in nine games across offense and special teams, recording five receptions including a 25-yard catch at Georgia State and two receptions for 13 yards against Villanova. In 2024, he appeared in eight games as a reserve after missing time with injury.
