Brooks Johnson is a 6'5", 235-pound tight end from Weddington, NC, who attended Nation Ford High School. He was a two-star recruit in the 2022 class with a rating of 0.7883. Johnson redshirted as a freshman in 2022, then appeared in three games in 2023, recording an 18-yard reception against James Madison and a solo tackle on special teams versus Texas State. In 2024, he played in 13 games and recorded one tackle. During his 2025 redshirt junior season at Coastal Carolina, Johnson appeared in 10 games, catching 11 passes for 87 yards and one touchdown. He had a career-long 22-yard reception in the season opener at Virginia and recorded his first collegiate touchdown at ULM. Johnson joined Florida Atlantic in January 2026 as a redshirt senior.
