Jonnie Carter is a 6'1", 198-pound defensive back from Hollywood, Florida, who attended Charles W. Flanagan High School under Head Coach Benjamin Rolle. A three-star recruit ranked 95th overall in Florida, Carter recorded 42 tackles, three interceptions, and three pass breakups as a senior, earning selection to the Dade vs. Broward All-Star game. He was also a three-time district champion in the 400-meter hurdles, posting a state runner-up time of 51.70. Carter signed with Eastern Michigan as the third-highest rated recruit in program history by recruiting services. He did not appear in games during the 2025 season and returns as a sophomore in 2026.
