Zyeir Gamble is a free safety from Sumter, South Carolina, who transferred to East Carolina in January 2026 from Appalachian State. At App State, he appeared in 21 games with 14 starts across 2024–25, recording 100 tackles (49 solo), 3.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and eight pass breakups. In 2025, he started all 12 games and led the Mountaineers with 76 tackles (37 solo) while adding two interceptions and four pass breakups. Gamble notched a season-high 13 tackles against Old Dominion and made a game-sealing interception late against Oregon State. He joins the Pirates as a redshirt junior.
