Ashton Gray is a 6'0", 208-pound running back from Marion, Arkansas who transferred to East Carolina in January 2026 after one year at North Texas. During the 2025 season with the Mean Green, Gray appeared in 12 games and rushed for 383 yards on 58 carries with five touchdowns while adding one reception for nine yards. He recorded a career-high 152 rushing yards against San Diego State in the Isleta New Mexico Bowl, including two rushing touchdowns on carries of 17 and 51 yards. Gray was selected as a second-team preseason All-American Conference choice by Athlon Sports heading into his first campaign with the Pirates.
