Tyson Sanford is a cornerback for Duke Blue Devils who enrolled in January 2026. The 5'11", 195-pound true freshman from Suwanee, Georgia, attended Peachtree Ridge High School under head coach Matt Helmerich, where he earned four varsity letters. As a senior, Sanford recorded 20 tackles, one interception, one caused fumble, one blocked kick and eight pass breakups. During his junior year, he posted 30 tackles, two interceptions, one caused fumble, one fumble recovery, 11 pass breakups and one blocked field goal. In his sophomore season, he tallied 35 tackles, one interception, two caused fumbles, two fumble recoveries, three pass breakups and one blocked punt, earning all-region honors. Sanford also lettered in track and field, competing in the 100 and 200 meters and qualifying for the state meet in the 100 as a sophomore.
