EJ Archield Jr. is a redshirt freshman quarterback for Delaware standing 6'4" and weighing 230 pounds. A native of Tampa, Florida, Archield spent his first three years at Robinson High School before transferring to Gaither for his senior season in 2024. As a senior, he passed for 2,448 yards and 19 touchdowns while rushing for 300 yards and seven scores, leading Gaither to a district championship and state runner-up finish. In 2023, he guided Robinson to a district title after passing for 2,019 yards and 23 touchdowns with 531 rushing yards and five scores. A three-star recruit according to recruiting services, Archield did not see game action during the 2025 season.
