Yamil Talib is a right defensive end who transferred to Colorado from Charlotte. A native of Richardson, Texas, he played varsity football at Richardson Berkner High School, where he led the team in tackles with more than 100 in his final season and earned District 7-6A Defensive Player of the Year honors. After appearing in one game as a true freshman at Oklahoma State in 2024, Talib played at Charlotte in 2025, appearing in all 12 games. He recorded 37 total tackles, 14 unassisted tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups, one interception, and one forced fumble. Talib arrives at Colorado as a three-star transfer prospect with three years of eligibility remaining.
