Toby Anene is a 6'4", 260-pound left defensive end from St. Paul, Minnesota, who attended East Ridge High School. At North Dakota State, he played in 40 games with 22 starts over four seasons (2022–25), recording 59 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, and five forced fumbles. In 2025, his final season, Anene started all 13 games and tallied 27 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and seven sacks. He was named to the Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll in 2022 and 2024. Anene joins Colorado as a three-star transfer prospect rated No. 201 in the portal with one year of eligibility remaining.
