A consensus five-star recruit in the 2023 class, he was ranked No. 30 nationally by the composite recruiting rankings. At Florida State, Williams appeared in 17 games over two seasons, recording 21 receptions for 267 yards and two touchdowns. In 2025, his first year at Colorado, he played in the first six games, starting the final four, and caught nine passes for 81 yards before missing the final six games due to injury. He also contributed 11 snaps on special teams across kickoff and kickoff return units.
