Demetrius Hunter is a 6'2", 310-pound center from Orange, Texas who attended West Orange-Stark High School. A three-star recruit, he played four seasons at Houston from 2022 to 2025, appearing in 28 games with 25 starts at center. In 2024, Hunter started all 12 games and played 730 offensive snaps, allowing no sacks or quarterback hits across 345 opportunities. During his 2023 redshirt freshman season, he earned a 70.6 pass blocking grade that ranked sixth nationally among freshmen centers. Hunter joins Colorado as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining.
