Chauncey Gooden is a left guard for the Colorado Buffaloes who was recruited as a four-star prospect from Nashville, Tennessee. At Lipscomb Academy, he started three of his four seasons and earned two-time Tennessean All-Midstate honors plus TWSA All-State Offensive Lineman recognition. During his junior year under NFL Hall of Famer Kevin Mawae, he made the 2023 Preseason MaxPreps Junior All-American team. His first two seasons under former quarterback Trent Dilfer coincided with state championships in 2021 and 2022, earning him a 2022 MaxPreps Sophomore All-American selection. In 2025, Gooden appeared in the final four regular-season games, debuting against Arizona and logging 18 offensive snaps. He was named No. 38 OL Phil Steele Top Freshman and No. 11 Big 12 Lindy's Top Freshman.
