Boo Carter is a 5'11", 200-pound safety who transferred to Colorado from Tennessee. A consensus four-star recruit from Bradley Central High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Carter was ranked No. 129 nationally in the 2024 recruiting class. At Tennessee, he appeared in 21 games with five starts across two seasons. During his 2025 campaign, he recorded 25 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and three forced fumbles over nine games. As a true freshman in 2024, he started the final five games and led the SEC with a 16.5 punt return average on 12 returns for 198 yards, earning SEC All-Freshman honors. Carter carries three years of eligibility remaining and wears No. 6 for the Buffaloes.
