Tray Franklin is a right tackle from Columbia, S.C., who attended Ridge View High School before playing two seasons at South Carolina State. During his redshirt sophomore year in 2024, Franklin appeared in 12 games and earned Second Team All-MEAC honors while helping lead the Aggies to the MEAC Championship and Celebration Bowl. He transferred to Coastal Carolina as a three-star portal prospect following the 2024 season. At South Carolina State, Franklin played 1,238 snaps over two seasons while allowing just three sacks. Standing 6'5" and weighing 315 pounds, Franklin is a returning redshirt senior for the Chanticleers.
