Joe Ober is a running back for Coastal Carolina, standing 5'11" and weighing 221 pounds. The sophomore from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, attended Carolina Forest High School, where he earned All-Region honors and competed as a state champion powerlifter with a 385-pound bench press and 555-pound squat. His high school team won Region 6-5A titles in both 2023 and 2024. Ober did not appear in games during his 2025 freshman season and remains on the roster for the 2026 campaign.
