Dezmond Barnes is a defensive lineman for Coastal Carolina, standing 6'3" and weighing 310 pounds. The Millbrook, Alabama native attended Stanhope Elmore High School, where he recorded 56 tackles, 24.0 tackles for loss, and 5.0 sacks as a senior, along with 12 quarterback hurries. Barnes played his freshman year at Missouri State in 2025, appearing in seven games and earning Conference USA All-Freshman Team honors with six tackles on the season. He registered two solo tackles and a five-yard sack against Kennesaw State and posted three tackles in the Xbox Bowl versus Arkansas State. Barnes currently returns for his sophomore year with the Chanticleers.
