Champ Thompson is a redshirt sophomore linebacker for Clemson who stands 6'3" and weighs 290 pounds. Hailing from Gainesville, Georgia, Thompson recorded 36 tackles and 7.5 sacks in his final prep season in 2023. Through the 2025 campaign, he has appeared in eight games with one start, posting four tackles including one for loss and one sack across 102 defensive snaps. His collegiate debut came against Appalachian State in 2024, when he tallied two tackles. Thompson has logged one start against Penn State and recorded his first career sack at Boston College.
